I offer weekday appointments between 9am and 4pm. I also offer free no-obligation 20 minute telephone consultations to discuss the help you're looking for. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch to ask for more information or to book an appointment.
What to Expect
At present all appointments are held online using Skype or Google Meet. I use these platforms as they are encrypted and protect your privacy. They are also very simple to use. People often find it helpful to find a quiet space for sessions where they feel comfortable to talk. This might be in your home, in your car or out and about somewhere else. Just bear in mind that you will need access to a reliable internet connection for the sessions.
At our first appointment I will be interested to hear about the issues that you are struggling with and I will also want to get to know more about you generally. If we decide to start therapy together then we would agree a focus for the therapy and think about how long we might want to work together for. Individual or on-to-one sessions last for 50 minutes while couples therapy sessions last for 60 minutes.. Therapy sessions are usually held either weekly or in some cases fortnightly. To be most helpful therapy usually requires regular attendance and a certain level of commitment.
Attending therapy might feel quite anxiety-provoking. Please know that this is totally normal and to be expected, especially if you have never had any psychological therapy before. I understand that many people will feel anxious during the appointment and I will try to make you feel comfortable and safe.
